It’s so hard for me to believe that Caroline is 10 today. There’s something about double digits that makes them sound so much older. I don’t recall any other birthday having as much anticipation for her as this one. We have talked and talked and planned and planned down to the last detail. Last night she realized we had not talked about her breakfast this morning, so, thankfully, we got that settled, and Dad made an early morning run for donuts. Tonight she has chosen the traditional birthday dinner at Babes! She says she doesn’t like to wear the chicken hat there, but I think that secretly she does!
A couple of weeks ago, she and I got to have a special night out together for her birthday. We went to dinner, shared a milkshake, bought some new clothes for her, and, of course, had a photo shoot. She’s not always my most cooperative one in front of the camera, but she was all about this afternoon that was just for her. I love these pictures and how they capture her for me right now. Caroline is sweet and sensitive, but yet fiercely competitive. She loves all sports, especially soccer, and she is loyal to her friends! You can find her in jeans and a t-shirt ALL the time (except for a few rare occasions like a photo shoot!), and she is very particular about what she is wearing and when she is wearing it. It’s her favorite topic of discussion right now! She loves for me to be the one to take her places, and I am happy to be the one to take her where she needs to go. She says, “I love you” constantly and is very giving with hugs and kisses. I have always called her Gracie Girl, and she prefers that over her dad’s nickname for her – Little C! I love her with all my heart, and she’s a dream come true for me! Happy 10th Birthday to my sweet Caroline Grace!
Little “C” is such an amazing girl. She is beautiful inside and out. So proud of the young lady she is becoming. Beautiful pictures Beth! Dad
